fahari yetu under the University of Iringa (UoI) undertakes academic exchange and cooperation programmes with different international universities including the following:

• Academic staff and student exchange with the Institute of Ethnology, University of Goettingen, Germany
• Joint summer schools and research projects with the International Graduate School Heritage Studies, Brandenburg Technical University (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany
• Joint PGIS mapping with the Faculty of Geography, University of Turku, Finland, and the Faculty of Geography, University of Dar es Salaam
