Its location as the last village before the gate to Ruaha National Park together with its diverse composition of different ethnic groups like the Maasai, Hehe and Bena, make Tungamalenga a designated spot for a leisure and cultural activity stopover during a wildlife safari. The Tungamalenga Culture & Tourism Centre is currently developed to be established in collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society.
